He asked us if we had fifteen dollars to spare, for he owed a man across the way that money and that man was growing impatient about not being paid back. He even spoke several different sentences in German to prove that he wasn’t lying. He told us that his name was Gary and that he served in the United States military, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam war. The old man warmly replied, “I would love a shirt!” We showed him the different shirts that we had and he picked the one he wanted. We came across an elderly man and a lady, and we asked if they wanted a shirt. There were fewer homeless people here, and they were perched under the frames of tall buildings, hiding from the beating sun. This time, we were in the outskirts of Downtown Los Angeles, amidst skyscrapers and tall buildings. We kept mindlessly driving until we decided to park and try again.
Frustrated, we got back in the car, trying to brainstorm ideas and figure out how we were going to do this.
We simply didn’t know how to approach these people. We walked around for about fifteen minutes, trying to find people we were comfortable confronting. So we intended on peeling off a few individuals who seemed amicable and approachable. The middle of Skid Row, with all those people, scared us a little, and given the fact that we had no idea what we were doing, we didn’t want to get caught in the middle of a bunch of people who could potentially not be happy that we were there. We didn’t have a clear plan in mind, but we wanted to approach people on the edge of the region who were by themselves. We finally parked our car just outside the edge of Skid Row, and started walking. We kept driving, passing more and more congested streets of homeless people, trying to devise a plan on how we were going to pass out these clothes. We spent hours planning these clothing drives, pinpointing exactly where we wanted to go and what type of people to target… telling our friends that we were going to go to Skid Row and clothe the homeless! We were at a loss, uncertain how to go about giving these clothes to these people. We had never seen anything like it before and were honestly overwhelmed. Each street we passed was packed with inhabitants walking in the middle of the street, bickering at each other, sleeping, laughing, standing around in conversation, gazing off into the distance, tending to their makeshift forts, staring at us, you name it. When we first arrived at Skid Row, we had absolutely no idea what to do.
Given all of the globally recognized, glamorous parts of the city such as Hollywood or Beverly Hills, it is bewildering to us that such a disparity of wealth exists in a singular city, let alone our own. Did you know that? Our city is home to the area with the largest concentration of homeless people in the entire country. Comprised of fifty city blocks, Skid Row is home to the highest concentration of homeless people in the United States (Findlaw). It’s important to know that Skid Row is a region due east of Downtown Los Angeles, bordered by Third Street to the North, Seventh Street to the South, Alameda Street to the East, and Main Street to the West. So for now, we are organizing different clothing drives to redistribute them to wanting hands. We do not have enough means or resources to pass along our own Improper Etiquette merchandise to these homeless folk yet. The developers seem to be adding more stories and fixing performance issues… sometimes they add one or two scenes.Skid Row, Los Angeles, California Given that the highest concentration of homeless people in Los Angeles is Skid Row, we decided to start our efforts there. The voice acting is good and the stories are fun to read. This should be considered a comedy game with some sexual elements, that’s all.
Those scenes are heavily scripted, there’s no way to move/pan or rotate the camera, you can’t change the POV in any sense… you can’t customize the characters and all their bodies look practically the same but with different clothes and faces (except for a girl with massive beews and a black girl), and the physics suck for real… even modded Skyrim has less cartoony physics You’ll be stuck doing arbitrary missions to unlock the same ten scenes but with different characters. Compared to other +18 games this one is lacking in every aspect on such department.
